Current state of Play Music Exporter
The PME is a nifty little tool to export MP3s from Play Music. I have used it a fair bit, and when I saw that the preview of the new version was open source, I thought hey, I might contribute something sometime. But it's been over a year since the last commit and blog post from the original developer, and he does not respond to emails. Since the new version is not finished, but rather close, so I will continue his work and finish it.
The project is rather complex and, although I have looked into how you can use his playmusiclib, and how the UI is build up, fixing low level bugs in the export is something that will take a lot of time, should I ever have the time to dive deep enough into the project to do that at all. Luckily, the export itself works fine now, so instead, I will focus on fixing UI things first (like this) and adding comfort features like automatic export (which I have already started too).
